VISION OF PARISH Over the past number of weeks parishioners from Emly, Lattin-Cullen, Kilteely-Dromkeen and Pallasgrean-Templebraden have gathered in the Golden Thatch, Emly to explore a Vision of Parish that will help to create an awareness and responsibility for our parish and the role that all people can play in their own parishes. The Director of this weekly study is Fr.Noel Kirwan, from the Limerick Liturgical Centre.

EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS BELL The Eucharistic Congress Bell arrived in Emly on Saturday evening. The bell is being carried in pilgrimage throughout the country as part of the preparations for next year’s International Eucharistic Congress which is being held in Dublin. The ringing of the bell has always been associated with a call to prayer. On arrival in Emly the bell was firstly carried by parishioners through the local cemetery remembering our dead and their contribution to our lives and our parish. DEATHS The deaths took place recently of two former parishioners. Jimmy Heffernan, Donohill who has died was a native of the Boro Road, Emly. Margaret Murphy, Ardpatrick who also died during the week came originally from Ballyvistea, Emly.
