DEATH The death took place today of Philomena (Phil) Cunningham, Lr. Main St, Emly. Phil who was pre-deceased by her husband Jimmy and daughter Siobhán is bereaved by her son Seamus, her daughters Geraldine and Mary T., daughter-in law, sons-in-law and grandchildren. DEATH The death after a long illness has taken place of Pat Hickey, Tulla, Emly. He is bereaved by his mother, brothers and sisters and relatives. His funeral Mass will take place in Emly church on Tuesday morning at 11.30am.

CROSS A new cross has been erected on the spire of Emly parish church. The original cross had to be taken down after a heavy storm last November. DEAD The death has taken place of Mary Cahill, Limerick and formerly Knockcarron. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Limerick on Tuesday Morning with burial afterwards in Emly cemetery.
