DEATH The death took place today of Philomena (Phil) Cunningham, Lr. Main St, Emly. Phil who was pre-deceased by her husband Jimmy and daughter Siobhán is bereaved by her son Seamus, her daughters Geraldine and Mary T., daughter-in law, sons-in-law and grandchildren. ON STAGE AGAIN Emly Variety Players are preparing to go back onstage in the near future with a production of John B. Keane’s ‘Many Young Men of Twenty’. This production will come on the heels of the Players pantomime production of ‘Ole King Cole’ which they produced early last December.

DEATH The death after a long illness has taken place of Pat Hickey, Tulla, Emly. He is bereaved by his mother, brothers and sisters and relatives. His funeral Mass will take place in Emly church on Tuesday morning at 11.30am.

SCARTEEN  HUNT The annual St. Stephen’s day hunt took place in Knockcarron on 26th December.
